Pöbeln I vor Fugenbild

2019, installation, seminar

As a connecting point between two bodies, the joint is created as a tolerance-related gap between two materials in construction, if a structural component cannot be produced as a single piece. Can the function of swearing be used to forestall the appearance of tension cracks in society? Accompanying the installation, Martina Wegener in cooperation with Cornelia Fachinger and PiK-Haufen invites the audience to Pöbeln I. How does swearing begin? Substance-induced or emotionally charged? What are the relationships between the swearers, those being sworn at and the audience? When are you allowed to swear back? How exactly should one behave during companionable swearing, and what about political correctness?

During the seminar, interventions will be tested, conflicts evoked, situations endured, lectures formulated and films screened.
