*1984 in Quedlinburg, lives in Berlin

Esther Preußler studied cultural anthropology and art history in Bonn as well as scriptwriting in Berlin and New York. She worked as an assistant director and in the drama department at the Wiener Burgtheater and the Berliner Volksbühne where she was collaborating with directors such as Thomas Vinterberg, Ragnar Kjartansson, Paul McCarthy, Frank Castorf and René Pollesch. During her fellowship she developed a theatre production for the Berliner Volksbühne. Currently she is working as a freelance dramaturge and screenwriter and is involved in several film and tv productions.
