In 2020, at the end of each week, I collected worn out
shoe soles and heels from a shoemaker in Biel (CH).

I see the soles and heels as a memory, in which the
paths taken by a person, experiences, individual steps
and sequences of steps, their emphasis and effect are
inscribed.

Like photographic negatives, I develop the soles and
heels into the positive, into drawings, and make the stored
visible.
